For almost all work I charge $50 an hour. I work quickly, but carefully, so to take that dollar amount from the abstract to the real world:
A typical logo with revisions would be two to four hours.
Add business collateral and add another half hour. Then you have $125 - 225 for a new logo, business cards, letterhead, envelopes.
Add a brochure, add two more hours.
Simple. Affordable. Quality graphic design.
So what isn't $50?
Websites.
I charge $150 a page for standard websites (standard means a site that isn't a database driven sales site integrating all sorts of MySQL or crazy stuff like that - if that's the type of site you need, I am not your guy.)
Why $150 a page?
Because that does not limit me to time frames and billing worries. If i decide a page needs 3 hours of work, that's on me - no extra charge for getting it right. Web work is a lot more trial and error than design (and if your current web designer tells you different - RUN. They do not know what they are doing.)
